We had Farewell party of RUSSEAU Simon and MEYZEN Alienor, internship students from Grenoble University. During the three months we spent in the same laboratory, we were impressed with their hard work and ability to act. Take care!
From July 1st to 2nd, the LiteBIRD kickoff meeting was held at JAXA / ISAS (Space Science Research Institute) in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The main purpose of this symposium is to discuss LiteBIRD’s design concept, its expected scientific achievements, LiteBIRD’s domestic and international collaborations, and project outcomes. To this end, the science of CMB polarization, the current and future prospects of observation, and the lessons learned from Planck were also reviewed and discussed as they would be combined into the LiteBIRD project.
May 13th, ROUSSEAU Simon and MEYZEN Alienor from Grenoble University in France came for the internship. They will stay for 3 months. Mr. Guillaume of Paris University and Tommaso, a graduate student of Oxford University, who came at the research meeting enjoyed the party together.
On March 1st, in honor of Prof. Makoto Sakuta’s many years of achievement, the final lecture was held to commemorate the retirement. Under the subject of “retrospecting research and education”, I had a lecture on the research and education that the teacher worked on up until now, and gave a talk on the path. Thank you very much.
Congratulations on your retirement.㎝
Thank you very much for your guidance for a long time.
I just want to tell you, it is really reminiscent of being retired.
Please be aware of your health and stay well.
Prof. M. Bucher of Paris 7 is visiting us as a JSPS invited fellow. He explained to us the history and future prospects of CMB observations in a colloquium.
Prof. N. Katayama of Kavli-IPMU, The Univ.of Tokyo, gave a seminar on how to observe primordial gravitational waves by the LiteBIRD scientific satellite mission.
K. Komatsu, a PhD student, gave a poster presentation at SPIE conference in Austin, Texas. He received many questions on his research in LiteBIRD from people in related fields.
