Supernovae, the dramatic end-the-life events of massive stars, are among the most energetic phenomena in the universe. Observing neutrinos, which carry away 99% of the total energy released in a supernova, is crucial for unraveling the explosion mechanism. However, detecting these neutrinos is extremely challenging; to date, neutrinos from a supernova have only been detected once, from the Large Magellanic Cloud in 1987. This lecture will introduce the latest research on supernova neutrinos at Super-Kamiokande and discuss future prospects in the field.
