We have two projects: (1) ferromagnetic film materials and (2) semiconductor materials.
Since stacked magnetic films have unknown possibility to apply as electronic materials, our study is focusing on the stacked magnetic films such as bilayer and multi-layer films produced by vacuum technology.
Fortunately, we have fruitful equipments concerning to the this project. Thin films with thickness less than 500 nm are produced by RF sputtering system with 3 targets, electron-beam gun evaporation system with 4 crucibles, ultra-high vacuum evaporation system, and are sometimes annealed by electrical furnace. The deposited films are characterized by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), 35-GHz ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) spectrometer and Faraday rotation M-H loop tracer. Electrical-resistance measurement apparatus, XRD, SEM and SQUID are also available in the near laboratories.
