要旨 |
Results will be presented for the dynamics of the bond alternating Heisenberg
chain at low and finite temperatures and in magnetic fields up to saturation.
This covers two spin liquid phases, the low field phase with exponential
correlations and the high field (Luttinger) phase with algebraic correlations.
The general discussion will be supplemented by numerical results using
full diagonalization of chains with up to 20 spins. This allows to obtain
the full temperature dependence of the dynamical structure factor. It will
be shown that critical exponents of the Luttinger phase can be obtained
from the size dependence of the low temperature correlations. The results
will be related to recent inelastic neutron scattering experiments on coppernitrate,
Cu (NO3)2・2.5 H2O. |
