要旨 The discovery of Bose-Einstein condensation of atomic gases has led to a new impulse in the study of quantum fluids and in particular the study of superfluidity.  In this work we study the nucleation of quantized vortices in a condensate of 87Rb atoms held in a magnetic trap. Using a focused laser beam we stir the condensate, and when the stirring frequency reaches a critical value we observe the formation of a vortex at the center of the condensate. Using the quadrupolar excitation of the condensate we measure the angular momentum of the condensate with the vortex, and we find that it is $\sim \hbar$ per particle, as expected. For larger stirring frequencies, regular arrays of vortices are observed.
