7月1日から2日にかけて、LiteBIRD kick off meeting が神奈川県相模原市のJAXA/ISAS(宇宙科学研究所）で開かれました。このシンポジウムの主な目的は、LiteBIRDのデザインコンセプト、その期待される科学的成果、LiteBIRDの国内外のコラボレーション、そしてプロジェクトの成果について議論することです。この目的のために、CMBの分極化の科学、観測の現状と将来の見通し、そしてPlanckから得られた教訓がどのようにLiteBIRDプロジェクトに組み込まれるのかについてもレビューし議論されました。
From July 1st to 2nd, the LiteBIRD kickoff meeting was held at JAXA / ISAS (Space Science Research Institute) in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The main purpose of this symposium is to discuss LiteBIRD's design concept, its expected scientific achievements, LiteBIRD's domestic and international collaborations, and project outcomes. To this end, the science of CMB polarization, the current and future prospects of observation, and the lessons learned from Planck were also reviewed and discussed as they would be combined into the LiteBIRD project.
